The UK’s only art fair dedicated to kinetic, robotic, sound, light, and time-based art is back for its second year at the cavernous Ambika P3 space near London’s Baker Street. Kinetica Art Fair 2010 includes over 35 galleries and organisations and 150 artists specialising in kinetic, electronic, and new media art.

For those interested in experiential art, the fair promises some treasures. Expect to find exhibits such as a family of holographic light beings, sculpting and drawing robots, an orchestral milk float, and a giant vertical electronic wave.

The fair is organised by Kinetica Museum. They have teamed up with John Dunbar (Indica Gallery 1965) and Jason Reichhardt (Cybernetic Serendipity, ICA, 1968) on a feature exhibition dedicated to the pioneers and masters of kinetic art.

Also on display is original interactive installations from the 1968 exhibition of cybernetic art, Cybernetic Serendipity, first shown at the Institute of Contemporary Art.
