
Design store Mint is staging a retrospective of Czech designer Maxim Velcovsky. To compliment Velcovsky’s extensive body of work, Mint is also exhibiting a selection of works by other emerging and established Czech designers.

Velcovsky is the most notable of a new crop of designers emerging from Czech Republic in recent years. He is the co-founder of Qubus Design Studio and his work is exhibited and sold internationally.

Mint are presenting his most recent limited edition series ‘Vase of Vases’ made for Krehky, produced alongside several other pieces for the Krehky collection. Also exhibited are a number of his other limited edition pieces produced for Mint including the Catastrophe Vase, Underground Souvenirs, and Melting Beauty.

Other highlights include Jakub Berdych’s collection of glass bowls, Klara Sumova’s wooden Love Lamp (pictured below), and hand-blown glassware by Ivan Jelinek.
